Match Report
In what has become a trend for the Lions in recent weeks, they started the game off with a steal leading to a fast break attempt. This would set the tone as the tenacity of the Lions was on full display, led by Konstantinos Androutsos pushing the ball and passing to create fast break opportunities. The Lions got off to a good start, with some big baskets from Dimitrios Kolyperas and Andreas Vroutsis. Solid perimeter shooting and free throws kept the Wolves relatively close in the first quarter, however the energy of the Lions on this night was just too much. A sky high put back by Firas Hosn, a few monster blocks by Michal Sarnecki, and a terrific run and finish by Michael Firoozi led the Lions start to a comfortable lead by half time from which they never looked back. Long time Lion members, Aris Tyrothoulakis and Thomas Dudziak made their season debut and contributed on both ends of the floor with some steals and points in the paint. On a day meant to celebrate love the Lions felt just that with a great supporting crowd and some heart shaped donuts to celebrate the win.
